My fiance and I have lived together for a couple of years.

We're having a destination wedding in Jamaica. We'll be there for 6 nights before the wedding (obviously in the same room). I'd prefer to stay together the night before the wedding, but he thinks we should be apart.

Any opinions? What did everyone else do or plan to do?

My husband and I didn't stay together the night before our wedding. He stayed at his parents place and I stayed with mine. I think it made seeing him at the altar that more romantic and exciting.

You really shouldn't stay alone while in a different country. I don't think it would be safe for you. If I were you I would forget about the whole "don't see eachother, the day of the wedding thing". You need to make sure you are with him or someone else in your room. Just don't be alone. I hear that Jamaica can be very dangerous. GOOD LUCK!

you're a d!ck Bob!
Whatever works the best for the two of you. It's traditional for the bride and groom to not see each other the night before and day of the wedding, but these days, it seems like it's all about breaking tradition ANYWAY. Do whatcha wanna do!

you could both go out with friends for a couple of hours alone without each other and enjoy your self not like what that pig said but just ask your boyfriend if you could find a solution that you can both respect and don't listen to that weido Bob

there's no point in being apart that night, just sleep together without sex.
don't give him an opportunity to go crazy on his last night.
disease doesn't respect marriage ceremonies.

Nope. Bad luck. Can't see each other for twenty-four hours. Need something new, something borrowed and something blue.

Your whole relationship sucks and living together spoils marriages. Sorry.

Why would you even need to ask if you should be together the night before the wedding? Of course the answer is no, but what does it matter in your case, since you've lived together for two years?
