Well, your this young Lady's boss, so it is your responsibility to keep her, and her yapper, in check. Have one more talk with her concerning this, and let her know that incessant chatter is not acceptable for the environment that you are all working. So after this talk, you know, she'll start yip-yip-yip again. Then you look at her, sternly, and say remember what we just talked about the other day? She'll pick up on the hint eventually.....

This can't go on. If you are the boss, then take control of the situation. The children are the priority. Give her a written note saying that from now on there must be less talk and more attention to detail or the working relationship can not be maintained. If she messes up again, sack her and find someone new.

Effect on you: Just ignore! It;s not that impossible...
Effect on workplace : You are the boss! So you can really help in this regard... Well, start off by assigning her relatively insignificant jobs, the ones which do not directly impact the work environment or quality of service, make her feel less important by such indirect gestures... there will hopefully be self-realisation on her part... if she cannot put up with it, she'll quit - good for her and good for your workplace... but she might also rectify her ways...

You have to start giving her hints that you don't have any interest as to what shes saying. When she keeps talking pretend like your listening, but answer in one word answers like "oh" or "no" or "yes." It might take a while but she'll start to get the hint. If she is feeding the kids wrong thats when you should really take matters into your own hands and just keep correcting her in a nice way, don't get frustrated

In my opinion, honesty is ALWAYS the best policy!!! Simply let her know that she needs to get more focused on her job and those children. Whenever she starts to revert back to her old ways, simply remind her of your last conversation with her about being focused! Good luck! It's definitely hard when you work with someone who talks, talks, talks and has nothing to say!!

I would speak to a manager about the concern of this getting in the way of her job, and have him mention to keep personal details personal-the kids don't need to hear about how drunk the waitress was last night or how hot she thinks so and so is. Out of your hands and into those who hold her job is best choice I think, then it can't come back on you.

If she is not caring for the children properly and you have spoken with her about this already then I guess you have to fire the dingbat.
Don't feel bad about it, children shouldn't be neglected because she is chatty and you don't have the nerve to dismiss her.

Aside from the incessant talking, if she is doing her job incorrectly and it is affecting other people's children that she and you are responsible for, perhaps it is time for a job evaluation. To here and read what her deficit areas, and her strengths (if any), are, perhaps it would open her eyes and she might attempt to put her best foot forward. If she is unable to perform her job, fire her.

Well technically you could do anything from extreme torture to murder *just be prepared to face consequences lol. But just teach her a listen, get a new job, or ask employer for new job (if you are your own boss just kick her to the curb and get it overwith).
