Skin So Soft puts out a facial hair removal cream specifically for the upper lip area. It's very easy to apply and gentle on the skin. Everything irritates my skin but I use this product all the time, and have not had a problem. Of course, everyone reacts differently so you have to do a skin test with the product first to make sure you do not have an allergic reaction to it. But I think you will be very pleased with the results.
DO NOT EVER SHAVE facial hair unless you want to be left with stubble (like a mans face)
The product can be purchased through Avon.
By the way I am not an Avon representative (I do not sell their products) but as I said I have had good results with this product and recommend it.

Never shave your face, it will make the hair become more coarse over time. It's better to wax, but you're sensitive, so perhaps going to a professional for waxing/bleaching would be better. Laser hair removal works well on dark hair and is not as expensive as people think. It takes a few treatments to get the results you want, but it's well worth the investment. Check out the link I've posted for some information about Laser Hair Removal. Don't be afraid to call a clinic in your area to ask questions.

You can buy a bleaching cream that will lighten the hair. But be careful because it is toxic. Other creams for hair removal are also toxic, but I believe there are a few that are approved for facial use. Check products by Sally Hansen and Nair. I think your best bet will be to go to a salon and not try to do it yourself. Since your upper lip is a sensitive area, if you have a professional remove the hair, it will hurt a lot less than if you do it yourself. An added bonus to having your hairremoved by a professional is that it is much safer because the products they use are quality and they know them well. Schedule a hair removal consultation when you schedule your haircut. That way you wont have to be embarrassed to be going to the salon for your facial hair. Another suggestion is to get your facial hair and your eyebrows done at the same time.

I understand your problem. If you have tried waxing and it irritates your skin...have you tried applying cornstarch to the area before waxing? And, then after you have waxed you should clean the area with witchhazel.--or some other type of astringent. Waxing on a Friday night or weekend also gives the opportunity for your skin to recouperate. Or just as you get home on a weeknight. The other alternative, other than waxing and tweezing, is to go through a series of electrolisis treatments.

Good luck!

I assume you're a girl.
Try 'threading'.
It hurts but it doesn't leave the lip red or anything
As you get older you may want to try electrolosis, just take a couple Advil before you go and it won't be so bad. It's the only really permanent way to do it.
Good luck.
Try waxing on a day when you have 24 hrs. before seeing anyone so the redness won't matter.

I am 55 and I pluck mine out...all these years of doing it that way, I dont have many left...After a while you get less and less and lighter in color...only painful first two times, after that it is much the same as plucking eyebrows..I do it watching TV, then I dont notice pain at all....good luck...oh..and there is electrolysis, I beleive you can buy the product and use at home, but dont know more than that.......happy plucking !!

try the threading method .it does not cost much (3 to 5 dollars) and its done mainly in the indian culture but many salons offer this service .it is painful when you get it done for the first time but it is worth a little pain because you can see results for up to two weeks.

Buy some Nair for facial hair. It works like a charm.
