Is it a way you can stop it from itching without undoing it, or getting it nappy?

They should not be left in for more than 2 weeks.
Whoever is doing your hair needs to keep your scalp lubricated with some type of creme, grease, oil. There are lubricants that are especially for dry/itchy scalps. (Also there are shampoo's and conditioners for dry/itch scalps also) Try products by At One with Nature (dry/itchy shampoo), Sulfur 8 (shampoo & grease) Head & shoulders (shampoo) or DooGro (Dry/itchy shampoo and grease). Also make sure you do not use other people's combs, brushes, and clean your own combs/brushes regularly w. mild soap or shampoo.
Dry Scalp=Itchy Scalp
If itching persists, see a dermatologist.

I think after a certain point it gets so dirty that it HAS to be taken out. But different people have There may be something you can put in your hair right before they braid it to keep it nicer longer. It also will itch regardless at first as they do it pretty tight.
