I am afraid of both. I want to stay and be with those that need me to care for and protect them-they deserve that. I also am afraid of being here alone when I get older -to have to rely on the kindness of strangers when I can no longer fend for myself. I need some help here.

Same here. You will get Old no matter what, and Death is a part of Life. Being prepared in this kind of truth is not really easy because nobody wants to die alone. For me, I always believe that God is always there for me, so no matter what happen I will never be alone.
When you have no choice but to rely on the kindness of strangers, Just trust your instinct with the people that you will meet, because there is still good people out there that will love you and care for you.

That is a decision everyone must make all by himself.

Before I will allow myself to be taken care of by strangers or become a burden on my children, I will take my own life.

It is as simple as that. We all reach the same destination, the only difference being when and how we get there.

There is no fear of either if you understand and believe God's promises to you. Scripture says that fear is of the devil. God has promised us enternity in a mansion if we follow Him. Sometimes I wish I were called home early to avoid some of the conflict pain and suffering that we face here. But our hairs and days are numbered and our exit is up to Him. Until then we can can great confidence from the scriptures concerning fear. May God bless you and direct you in your search for the escape from all sense of fear and the future.

Don't be afraid to die. Death is for everyone and eventually it will get you. Try to overcome your fear of death. Being the last of your loved ones is much more miserable than dying a nice natural death.

be not afraid of death. he is a kind messenger who will take us from this imperfect state to a better though different plane of existence. the soul and spirit will be free of this container which allows us to move on this plane. when one dies it is harder on the ones left behind as we are selfish beings and want to hold on to the loved ones gone before. the comfort is they are never ever really gone for their spirit will always be with one who remembers another.

I think the best way to eliminate, all the worries of life is to strengthen, the relation with God, from him, we are, and to him
we'll be go back.
He's much kinder towards us and our dear ones, than, us.
He is our Creator.
We can ask him anything,
We can ask him to protect us and our dear ones, and ask for their and our's prosperity.

No. Dying is something we should not be afraid of.

What is more terrifying is going to eternal damnation.
