DON'T DO IT.

It's not a healthy way to lose weight. Go and see your GP and take some proper medical advice.

Take my word for it you are going to experience the worst Flu type symptoms in your life when / if you start it.

I have the whole package and to be honest it is the only diet that works imediately.Instead of listing what you can have understand that carbs in any way are basically banned. This is a hard and difficult diet and it makes your breath smell.YUK.At first its a novelty to eat bacon ,sausage, fried eggs etc but i ended up longing for a cuppa and a nice salad sarnie and you cant because of the no carbs. Also fruit is banned because of the sugar content. What ive learned since the diet is how to keep the weight off and ive lost a few more pounds as well and i realy think you should concider going down this path. Its like the atkins with a few cheats.Dont give up carbs, the body needs them,it realy does. Its important that you have a little fat even if its in a jacket poatoe.plenty of lean meat and veg and some fruit.Stay off bread as much as poss and you will lose pounds.xxxx good luck.stay and eat healthy.x

Neither the atkins or cambridge or any other restrictive diet works, if you deprive your body of fuel it will find another source, which usually results in feeling bad or your body going into starvation mode, then when you go back to sensible eating your body will take the food you eat and store it as fat.

60% complex carbs, 25% fat, 15% protien, and the all important exercise, 3+ x a week for 30/45 min and do some resistance work to improve muscle condition.

I know this is not the answer you want, but I wouldn't suggest starting that diet. Any diet that excludes any of the food pyramid is very unhealthy. You need carbs for energy, and even if you lose some weight it is very unhealthy. Dr. Atkins, the man who started that diet, died of a heart attack. He probably was skinny though. My parents did that diet for a while and the whole time they felt like crap. Try going by the food pyramid.

Atkins is a "fad diet" just like how I tell you i know your future by your blood type!! I once promoted their diets cos it helped me make money by being an affiliate but it is against my conscience. Now, I never recommend anything I know nothing of and without scientific proof.

Seriously, you should only eat according to your metabolic type. I highly recommend you to follow Dr. Joseph Mercola's diet to prevent diseases AND age-ing. His books can be found either at Mercola.com or Amazon.com One other author you should take note - Dr. Ray Strand from http://www.raystrand.com

Do your research and make a wise decision -it's not how long you live - it's the quality of your health we're talking about.

Hope this helps!

Please don't do Atkins. I tried it and it aint good. The South Beach is similar but it allows you fruit and veg which are a necessity, or the GI is very good too. I started GI 6 weeks ago and have lost 10 pounds so far without even exercising. Good luck.

Atkins is dead so is his diet (Looking at pictures of him just before he died you would see why)
Best diet is to eat sensibly, cut out snacks and alcohol and you will soon loose weight.
