Get yourself a humane cat trap. You can usually get one from your local humane society for a nominal rental fee, sometimes they are free, requiring only a deposit. If not, you can buy them from farm stores or Home Depot, etc.
Open a can of cat food and place in the very back of the cage. Place newspapers on the bottom of the trap. (Some cats are leery of stepping on the metal bars) Set the trap and then cover with an old blanket, towel, whatever, leaving the front slightly uncovered so they can enter the trap easily. Be sure to check the trap at least twice daily. It may take a week or so to catch the little one. Keep trying and make sure to replace the food with fresh daily. When you catch her/him, keep the cage covered until you get to your destination, whether it be at a shelter, or, to your veterinarian. This helps to keep them from panicking. Best of luck to you.

I would use a canned cat food, tuna or mackeral to attract the kitten and then try to pick him up. Be sure to pick him up with a heavy bath towel to avoid being bitten or scratched because he will be very frightened to be in human hands. You should be able to get him without a trap and if you can't then the trap is the best way to go.
I do hope you get the youngster and can get him to a vet for treatment soon.

Poor Kitty....Go to your local shelter or humane society and ask them if you can borrow a trap. It's very simple to use you put tuna in a dish in it and when they walk in the door closes. Just make sure that you put a blanket over it so the kitty doesnt get scared. Also put news paper or a blanket on the bottom so that they dont see the cage. Good luck it might not happen the first night just keep trying

if your trying to help him, which i hope thats what u were intending to do, he's prolly really scared of people, set some food out and let him come to it and eat, dont try to pet him or anything while hes eating yet tho because he will prolly run off, it will take a couple days, just sit outside with him and let him come to u, he will soon know that u are the one feeding him and feel more comfortable. it took about 2 weeks to get a stray to come to me, i just sat outside with her even tho she wouldnt come to me and then from feeding her and such she finally came over, ive had her for about 3 years now, good luck. ask if u need any more help

start by leaving food and water on porch. they need to gain trust with you. when you see the kitten talk calmly to it, put some food on your finger and tell it to come .....after a while the kitten will come to you and do not try to pet it at first, let the cat come to you, put your finger down so kitten can smell you, when it rubs against you or nudges you them you can pet it and if it start purring then pick it up and take inside. should take it to a vet for checkup and shots.......
