A good set of dentures don't come cheap. A full set of dentures can cost around $1500 per plate. That doesn't include pullling the teeth that you have left.

wow! Where are you guys from? It costs in the thousands in the US. My brother had to go down to Mexico to get just upper dentures. They cost around $600 and that's a good deal.

i had my teeth done about a year ago, 7 extractions, 12 root canal , implant a false tooth, a full upper bridge (german ceramic) a single and a double crown down(ceramic, german) and a set of removable dentures (also ceramic, german) for below and a removable set for up to click into place and i am very happy with it.
for this kind of work i was quoted locally 55.000 euro so i went to the ukraine and i had it all done (incl. flight and stay) for some 8000 $ well worth it. if you want to go this way, contact me under fred10002003@yahoo.co.uk and i bring you in contact with the dentist

As with many things second hand ones will be cheaper.

Ask your local undertaker if they have any spare lying around.

Or you could try ebay.

Or, and this is really a stupid idea, you could ask your dentist for his price list. Usually they can be provided in a range of different qualities. The fit is no different from the cheapest to the most expensive, the difference is in the appearance and the hard wearing of the molars.

My husband paid £1,200 for his last month, private mind you. It's difficult to find a National Health place round here. This did include check up all extractions and moulds etc. etc. So the dentures themselves were probably half that.

It depends on where you get them made. I would ask your local dentists and price around. But you should ask someone you know that has dentures because you can get cheap dentures but they may not fit well and you may hate them. Shop around. Good luck.
