I have heard that they get heavy, but not overly heavy. It also depends if your getting them in your actual hair or if your getting falls or a wig or something like that, whcih can get heavy depending on how thick and long you want them. It would help a bit if we knew around how long you were talking. To some people long can be past the shoulders and to others it can be to your butt. It depends, but all in all... I believe the answer your looking for is yes, they do get heavy.

yea they can get heavy if you have alot they weigh about 3lb
