Trish: according to the Department of Motor vehicles
go down to them and tell that you lost title but cost is $100.00
must show vaild driver's licesense to registration desk then
they will give an replacement form to fill out completely after
done call Insurance Agent's office requiring new title also

It is actually very simple. Just contact the people that handle the registrations for vehicles in your state. The cost from state to state is different. Sometimes the best place to start is where you get your drivers license renewed and they can help direct you. You will probably need your drivers license and the current vehicle registration to start the process.

Go into the office of motor vehicles with your registration and insurance card, and apply for a duplicate title. No idea on cost, but it shouldn't be too high.

Call the tag office where you got your license plates, and ask them for the forms and procedures to apply for a lost title.

The price varies depending on the state you live in. Go to your local dmv. They'll help you take care of it.
