excellent idea. in this city every Thursday during the news they have a dining out guide. It tells you which restaurants have had violations from the board of health.

I think that is an important point, I knew of several restaurants that had problems, but unless you knew then you would have thought the place was ok. Definately the restaurants perhaps need a star system by health inspectors to be displayed.

In the state I live in, yes they have to be displayed.You can call your local health dept and ask,they will gladly answer.
