Just wondering... Just been to Amsterdam - very nice. Got me thinking - didn't see any men offering their 'services' (apart from laydee boys). In other words, nothing catering for women. I'm in relationship now, but have had lean times in the past. Would have been nice to visit a 'professional' who knew what they were doing; a nice, clean man with whom I wouldn't have to endure hours of cheap chat/scary dates/etc in order to have a wee bit of personal fun. Would that be worse than having to do 'the walk of shame' the next day??! perhaps not... So why is it that this isn't common in this profession? Is there a gap in the market?! (no pun intended!)

I would have to believe that a man would only go to a prostitute if they were pretty desperate. There are so many diseases out there nowadays that it has scared most of them off. Also, I don't even know what a man would wear to be visible as a prostitute. I have heard that some strippers(both male and female) will sometimes go all the way with a person if they are cute enough and have enough cash. I have heard of escort services that cater to women, but I'm not sure where any are. But I would think that the male prostitutes are probably there, the only problem is that they are probably incognito enough for your eyes to just pass over them.

Unlike for girls where most would never consider it because of the stigma even though the money is exceptional, most guys would probably consider this a dream job. Just look through any of the dumber men's mags and you'll see ads claiming to be looking for 'male escorts'. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be anything like the demand for it among women, although I'm sure a few do seek them out as you always read about the odd one.
I suppose women don't have the same desire for quick anonymous sex as men, or perhaps it's more a case of being something that's frowned upon for women. Also, if a women really wanted sex that much she knows that plenty of men are willing in bars and clubs.
If anyone's got any jobs for male escorts (hetro please) though feel free to let me know!

Its all down to consequence men will sleep around if given the opportunity however if they love their partner they often won't risk the loss of that relationship if caught.
Women on the whole don't look for the same things as men from a relationship and so the thought of sleeping with a bloke for money would be anathema to most.
There are escort services for women and male prostitutes but women on the most part are not looking for a one night stand and if they were they could probably easily pull without having to pay.
Finally most women have hairdressers who are able to pamper them and make them feel good at about the same cost for a bloke to visit the local lady of the night.

lots of silly answers - probably from people who've never been to a prostitute. Speaking from long experience, there are good and bad ones, male ones and female ones. They are probably cleaner (health wise) than the average pub pick-up. I've used female prostitutes for nearly 40 years, never caught a thing (despite nearly always paying extra for unprotected sex) and had one hell of a good time. No kids, no meals out, clothes, jewelerry, rows, etc. The best UK source for either men or women seems to be the newspaper called the Sport. Forget the so-called news, just go for the ads.

I would not go to a prostitue if i was a woman .... i'd just go out to a bar....
women are not ever really desperate ... its called being fussy .. which men are not.
if u want an escort go get one .. but don't pretend as a woman u can't pull a man... although ... keeping a man is an entirely different matter.

No. Not at all. Those are sex addicts. A person that doesn't care about their health or the other person that he maybe involved with. That is not common. It's more of a situation where a man feels like he can pay for sex and don't have no strings attached, don't have to pay her bills later, get that fetish off their backs, when the wife is acting funny. Sounds good? THat's my story and I'm sticking to it.
