I'm always being nice to her and straightening her hair, and letting her play with my toys, but she always acts like a brat and if I don't let her play with my stuff, I get in trouble with my mom. My sister is so stubborn, and never says thank you when I do her hair or say sorry when she knows she did something wrong to me. Help please.

Oh, and I'm going to help her be hannah montana for halloween and do her hair and put my make-up on her, but right now we are fighting and she said "Mom can do my hair and I'll use her makeup, DUH" or something totally snotty and rude like that.

You sound like a good sister.
How much older are you? The way to make her nice is through reason. You need to talk to her, explain why you do this, and tell her you love her! Actions get ignored. Hugs would be it!
When I was a kid my folks did alot of things for me but never hugged nor told me they loved me often. Thus, I did not know! You need to say it. Especially with kids, they do understand.
Good luck!
Kids are good with emotional blackmail. She's a smart kid. Why does she do that? Because she's young, and naughty. We've all been there. She likes to hurt you. You need to get her to respect you and not walk all over you. That means acting hurt when you are hurt. Don't bury it.

It seems very unfair, doesn't it. Some people are just that way, I guess. They never learned to say thank you. But don't let her immaturity get to you. You are frustrated because you are more mature. You understand feelings and are trying to express them like a grown person. I support you 100% in doing that!

Hey MelloryB,you made me laugh. You sound like no more than 12 years.7 yrs is too young to compete with. You should just avoid her for some time.Just don't give her too much attention. It seems that she is the only child in the house and you too adore her.Sisters are made of sugar and too much of sugar makes it bitter.

no seriously, you can't reason with a 7 year old brat. just ignore her being bratty.
she's very lucky to have a nice older sister, mine was a total cow to me. she'll appreciate it when she's older.

I would give her a little doggie that will sit on her lap. She could name the doggie, "Uncle George the Plastic Rat Dog" and it could be her best friend. Maybe then...only then, will she be nice to you...

You don't have to do everything for her and still be nice. This is how seven year olds are. Maybe you can teach her manners and how to be polite.

Do not do anything for her, but be nice. Stay out her way, but be nice. She needs to change on her own.

Don't do stuff for her. Be polite, but don't go out of your way for her. She only treats you this way because she knows she can get away with it with zero consequences.
