Because she's interested in everything you do !
What if she never asked questions .....you might say ....why does my wife , never ask me any questions ...hmmm!!!

is she a scientist? does she ask you things that you don't know the answer to? does she ask things like 'how high is up'? how the VCR works? how to download software? where stuff is?
orrrrrrr...... does she ask you where you've been, who you've been with, why your mobile was switched off and why is there a hotel receipt in your pocket??????
if it's the 1st type of question, maybe your wife is just a curious but lazy person: ie, she wants to know the answer to these things but can't be bothered finding out herself. there's nothing wrong with curiosity, maybe get her an encyclopedia or something. is she a housewife? at home all day and then you come home and she's just bursting to talk to you? maybe she's just a little lonely and you and she don't talk much any more. communicating with your spouse is not something that reaches a plateau and then stays like that. you have to keep working at it, keep talking and remember that you love this person and that s/he is a human being. even 10 minutes a day of conversation, dedicated to just the 2 of you, can make all the difference in your relationship.
if it's the 2nd type of question, well dude - you need to sort your $hit out.

You should be happy because beware if your wife stops asking these questions it could mean that maybe her interest lies elsewhere!
OK I'll ask you one, why are men never happy with anything?
I'm sure there are plenty of men out there who would appreciate a bit of interest from your wife!!!

are you quiet? maybe she's trying to have a conversation with you and you don't talk much so she asks questions to try and start a conversation up. Or, maybe she's nosy and wants details about every little thing. or maybe she just cares and wants to know what's going on in your life when you're not together...to be a part of things.

2) She is interested in how to do something.
3) She loves you and wants to share your activities with you.
4) She wants to know what you have been up to.
5) She thinks you are cheating and wants to know what you did.

maybe you don't give her enough detail on your own?
Start telling her more, be more open and chances are she will not have that crazy female urge to ask a million questions.
I know it's hard for men, but try to be detailed ok?
