Absolutely....Withdrawal from both Caffeine and Nicotine are horrible...but the good new is that with nicotine, the effects last only about 4 days. You can alleviate this with nicotine gum when it gets bad, or use a patch at intervals... that will stop the headache as you lessen the nicotine.
I find that Ibuprofen does a better job, or mix Ibuprofen with Tylenol...the mix works great.
I find the hardest part about quiting not at the beginning, but after about 10 days when the resolve has lessened and the cravings hit big time. good luck in your endeavor.

My grandfather stopped smoking when my mom was young. He didn't had much help at the time, but I recommend you to see your doctor or consult a health/nature specialist. They helped me with my diet and they helped my mother with her migraines. I know it's a little more expensive than using your health plan if they don't cover you, but believe me, a PROFESSIONAL, not a store clerk in a health store, can make a big difference. Your other option is a doctor, but my worry is that he/she might give you a medicine that could cause addiction, and it wouldn't solve the problem. Ask your doctor about what medicine you're taking always.

Problem might not be from quitting smoking. Recently suffered from severe migraine for 11 days, 2 trips to the E.R. Dr. didn't know what was wrong, gave motion sickness meds and motrin for r.x. A friend of mine (L.P.N.)suggested it might be a sinus problem, recommended Benadryl Severe Migraine and Sinus. This with the Dramamine, and Motrin gave relief so I could go back to work.

First, can I ask you a question? When you used to smoke, did you drink coke or coffee at the same time? It could be a headach from caffeine withdrawal.
Try Aleve (naproxen sodium)
I have tried every migraine medication on the planet, and it is the only thing that works for me.
Congratulations on your decision to quit smoking. Very important.

I walked out of the delivery room at the birth of my first child. I was so in awe of what had just occurred, I realized that I owed it to my family to never smoke again. I crumpled up the pack and threw them away. That was 10 years, 5 months and 10 days ago. I have never regretted a day of quitting.
