I had this happen before. Normal healthy dog (at least as far as I knew at the time) when I went to bed. Woke up and she had chewed her foot off. Bone and all. She was a ten year old English Mastiff. I had her PTS as she was very large and would not have done well especially with her age. Necropsy showed osteosarcoma, bone cancer.

I don't think it's a joke, my friend's dog chewed it's toe off.... dogs lick wounds and when those wounds get infected they tend to chew at it...that dog must of had an injury to the paw prior to chewing at it...yes it's gross!

Either you're really over dramatic or you need to get some duct tape.... my money is on the first one. Next time, try not letting your dog take the time to CHEW ITS FOOT OFF!

go call the vet . dont touch the leg and try and distract the dog. Call animal 911 ! hope everythings gona be ok !

Um... well i dont really know.I didnt know a dog could chew off its foot.Might need to go to the vet.Hope it goes ok...

im not completely sure, but ive heard that animals can get certain diseases and they do that. ?
