tHE BEST THING TO DO IN THIS SITUATION IS TO GO AGAINST UR PARENTS. u GOTTA DO UR BEST TO CONVINCE THEM. ASK UR GUY TO TALK TO UR PARENTS AND TRY CONVINCING THEM. OFCOURSE ITS DIFFICULT TO FACE IN THE BEGINNING BUT IN DUE COURSE UR GONNA GET USED TO IT. U GOTTA TRY CONVINCING UR PARENTS EMOTIONALLY. TRY SAYING TAT U CANT EVEN DREAM TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH ANOTHER GUY HAVIN SOMEONE ELSE IN THE MIND....

ALL THE VERY BEST I AM SURE UR GONNA SUCCEED...

WOW Being from a different culture I am not really qualified to answer this question but here is the view from my perspective.First why does your parents not wish you to marry this man that you love?? Is it because they will lose face since they have already promised you to someone else if so you have a hard battle on your hands. If not and he is a good marriage prospect has your parents met this guy. If it is about losing face you will have to hurt someone either you or your parents try explaining to them that it would be better not to marry their choice than have a divorce later in life because you cannot continue to live with this man and this will make him unhappy as well as them. Good luck with your decision just remember that you have to live the whole of your life with the decision so make it your decision.

You could explain to them, a forced marriage could have very bad results. Same thing to marrying someone from different culture, but at least here you are convinced and would bare the pain to settle down, unlike if you are forced to. I wouldn't want to marry someone forced to live with me. Who does?

no!!! u can't have a forced marriage! :(
my cousin had the same problem, so i'll tell u a little about it.,.she liked a guy too and the guy liked here, and both families weren't agreeing for their marriage.. and both of them kept saying that they wouldn't marry anyone else..eventually the two families gave in and now my cousin and her husband are happily married! :)

I do hope you are old enough to marry -- you are your own boss (if you are of age) to make your own decisions. If they (your parents) are of sound mind they should know that too.
