Dating is fun, we do it to get to know people better so we know whether we want to establish a relationship with them or not. Think about it! if we did not date how would we grow with a male or female companion you can't just meet somebody and jump into a relationship or bed with them you date and as time passes on you decide whether you want to further the relationship or not.

Dating before 2000 meant that you were only dating because you were ultimately seeking marriage. Dating gives the couple opportunity to date exclusively; in short, you are dating one on one in order to get to know your potential mate better. Notice I said potential mate. You are trying to determine if this is the person that you want to spend the rest of your life with. During this dating phase there is no sexual intercourse. In this way if either individual decides that this is not the best mate for him/her you can stop seeing one another and not be concerned with "soul ties" which is what you would experience if the couple agreed to have sex. Without sex invloved you can easily cut your loss; the time spent getting to know the person better, and it doesn't lead to marriage. However, if you have sex with the person you are more apt to hang around even when you know there is no compatibility between the two of you.
In essence, dating should not be for "fun" instead used as a safe tool to help you select a marital partner. Hope this helps you.

I date for fun. It breaks up the monotony of staying home. It may be a necessity to find the right person to marry.
