I have a Dodge Neon as well and I have no complaints and it handles great with standard accessories at around 110.

I have a 2000 Dodge Neon. Done a few mods to it. It is my daily driver tho. I don't plan on racing it all the time. Although I do think it performs OK. Every now and then I might take on a challenger, but I know where my car stands. It's alright. Not amazing. It's been very reliable tho. If I were going to be racing all the time I would have a srt4. They are more suited to race because of the upgraded engine and turbo. But yeah I live my neon. I wouldn't call it amazing tho.

I absolutely disagree. You must have driven a newer Neon. I think Dodge stop making them in 2005, not sure. But I have been an owner of a 1998 Dodge neon. I bought it in 1997 with only 8 miles on it. It has lasted, but not without multiple repairs. The head gasket blew with only 18,000 miles on it. I had the air conditioner to the dealer 9 times when it was under warranty and it still was not repaired. I'm driving a car with no a/c. It currently has 84,000 on it and the speedometer is broke. The air bag light constantly comes on. The oil light is currently coming on and I just had an oil change done a few days ago. Also, the transmission lost third gear. So, anyday now, I'm expecting the car is ready for the junkyard. I would love to get another car, but have major credit issues. Amazing is not the word for a neon.

Neon's are okay for daily driving and that is about all they were designed to be.
If you want a high performance long lasting car you need to look at Mercedes or BMW or some other maker. Not to Dodge or Nissan as these cars are not really designed to do what you are wanting for a extended time period. They maight make the SRT4 as a performance version of the Dodge Neon, yet it is not designed for extended use and the owners manuel even states this fact.

I love my Neon. I have a '03 SXT. I purchased it after running 190,000 miles on my '98. I've had very little trouble. Cars today are not meant to last 20 years. They're all crap.
I have a 620 lbs Friend who drove a Neon for delivering news papers. It ran fine....

You had me halfway believing that you knew what you were talking about until you mentioned that both the Neon and the Sentra have V4 engines. At that point I knew you were full of crap and that you probably could not identify a Neon even if it were lined up with nothing but pickup trucks. Neons are not bad cars, not all of them at least, and in fact as far as Dodge is concerned, it's one of their better efforts. But they are certainly not worthy of the praise you have heaped on them. Same with Sentras. I've heard a lot of good things about them, but both of mine were absolute junk.

Dodge neons are death traps if you get into a front end collision.
I would never put kids in one. I had one but only kept it for 6 months before trading it in for a dakota. The stupid things speedometer quit working makin dealers not want to trade.
