I hear brushing your tongue helps with good breathe, I've also heard that it's not good for taste buds.

i've been brushing my tongue for years and i dont think it damages your taste buds. As others have cells, cells get replaced. Dont scrub really hard, just enough to clean the tongue.

I'm not sure which country your from, but in the UK, they sell toothbrushes that has a special tongue cleaner on the back of the brush. Maybe go check out shops in your area.

Taste buds are like skin cells, they get replaced over and over all the time. So if you brushed a few off, they would come right back.

I've done it for years to reduce bad breath and germs and i have never had a problem with my taste buds. I see where it makes sense too. If you use a rag to wash to remove the dead skin cells, then why wouldn't you reduce the germs on your tongue.

Never heard of that so I'd say no. But eating five redhots does numb the tongue for a whlie. Lucky for me that night Mom made eggplants. Yuck.

wrong>>>> it cleanses your taste buds...and enhances them...plus gives you lovely fresh breath...most bad odor comes from way back on your tongue...that's why they have tongue scrapers...
