It doesn't matter if "we" "let" them or not. People will believe what they want anyway. They may not advertise it if it is discouraged (by, like, penalty of imprisonment, e.g.), but they will believe what they wish to believe.

If you are asking if a nation should have a national religion and force it upon all its citizens, the answer is no. This is pointless, because individuals will always choose what to believe, regardless of what the party line is. Moreover, you cannot convert a person's heart by structuring his or her daily life around one thing or another. Forced faith is not faith, any way you slice it. And threatening to punish someone who does not believe what you do is just ridiculous and wrong. One cannot exercise tyranny over another's soul and have it end up being right. No way, no how.

Educated beliefs thats an oxymoron ain't it?
You either accept scientific facts or you are part of the problem, the same problem that leads to terrorism that of people being gullible to follow organized religion

Of course, you have to allow people to make those decision for themselves. Educated? I believe in reincarnation. Is there some proof out there that I am correct? I haven't seen any. So obviously, if I had to have an educated belief that would rule out reincarnation. In this case I prefer to remain uneducated. Thanks for trying to dictate to me rules regarding what I can and cannot believe.

Belief is such a powerful word. How could anyone control what someone holds as truth or hope inside of their own minds?

Of course we should let people believe whatever they want.

HOWEVER...as for me and my family, as for my community, I say we educate our young people in the Truth, and let them make their own decisions when they come of age. ;)

GOD is to big to be in only one place. there are numerous to get to ones destination as one can walk, run, ride a bike, a motorcycle, take a car, a train, a plane, a boat, etc. etc. etc. and still arrive at where one wants to go. the basic difference between all religious belief systems are the rituals and ceremonies along with how they refer to GOD'S NAME.

Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs. It's called Freedom of Religion.

People are going to believe whatever they want whether you let them or not. Even if you force people to practice a religion, you have no idea what they truly believe.

I think it's more like accepting others and their beliefs. That doesn't mean we take their beliefs as our own, but we are open enough to listen and dialog with others.

Here's a question for you... How do you propose to stop people from thinking whatever in the Hell they want? How do you propose we "let" people do anything? You're just another shallow thinking, poorly informed idiot!
