If it was acceptable, I'd do it myself!! As it is now, if you choose that haircut, people lay their hand gently on you and coo, "Oh, how long has it been since you finished treatment?" When i did mammograms for a living, I desperately wanted my hair shorter than it is now, but was gently discouraged by my supervisor as she feared my patients would think I was lesbian and be uncomfortable. As we all know, I quit that job 4 months ago and now like like a militant Marine trainee, I AM HOT!! And your sister will be too.

I was in the Marines, they don't make women do this just the men.
As for your question I find a few women to be very attractive with shaved heads. It is a matter of head shape and personality in order for it to work. I look at each lady individually about this.
Just as some look good in hip huggers or daisy dukes and others don't the same goes with hair styles. What works for one doesn't work for all. Just watch a few episodes of "What Not to Wear" for anything fassion related.

no they don't, just cause she's joining the marines, why does she have to shave her head bald? I've seeing girls in the marines, army with hair.

depends on the girl ive met girls who could look good bald but mowhawks are better. and as for your sister she prolly gonna get shot thats a marines job to get shot. stay safe GI Jane

As a manner of fact: They are not going to shave her head bald--this is only done for males--even then it isn't BALD!
Yes, they will cut her hair to "conform to the shape of her head."

they will not shave your sisters hair. she will get it cut . only guys get shaved. you should tell your sister that so she will not worry. its going to be hard enough in basic training. sorry but she gets to keep her pretty locks
