Try doing a scenery for a background. Put the character's on the wall.

My son's room is done in a mixture of the super heroes. He has 2 Spiderman poster's in frames if they were just nailed up without the frame it might look sloppy or the poster's can rip. Anyway I found 2 metal Batman pictures at the dollar store and also Toys R Us sells different super hero pictures already in frames, they're about $10.00 and really nice. I got my son a hand painted Spiderman ceiling fan off of e-bay and you can also check out Toys R Us for the flying Superman or Batman. You can also get the wall clings almost anywhere. Just go to WalMart or K-Mart you'll find alot of different things.

I have a superman bed spread that I bought at wall mart, they have several sheets and blankets of super hero's like Superman, Batman, and a few others I believe. They also have many bedroom things like trash cans, rugs, lamps, and curtains. It would be a pretty cheap way to satisfy the boy and you can get everything to match or mix match. you don't spend a fortune on something that's going to change by next year possibly! GOOD LUCK

K-mart or wal-mart have alot of stuff for both Superman and Spiderman-and since both heroes use the same colors it would be easy to mix and match items! Also marvel comics has a wall-paper border roll out that shows their 20 most popular covers on it! Plus there is always a wide variety of calendars to get!
