it is the norm? There seem like a lot of fun loving people around. i don't mind them, I'm just truly curious to find truths. Is there another section that might be of some help.

This is the way it is--a cross-section of what is in the world is represented here. Some people have answers to questions and others do not. Some who do not have the answers feel the need to offer an "answer" that does not address what the questioner was looking for.

What I would recommend is that you find answerers who take your questions seriously and who answer to the best of their ability, and then click on their avatars to see if they are available by email. If so, email these people and ask them the questions you want thoughtful answers to.

If you post a question on the open forum, be prepared for some answers that may be disrespectful, silly, reductive, and all that. Since everyone is free to answer, you will get a variety of approaches and perspectives in response.

There are actual qualified advisers/experts in this section but not many. They aren't on all the time and you never know when they'll be on. My suggestion is browse this section in discover and look for good answers to similar questions others have asked, rate them, then see if the person can be messaged. Many have that feature. You can post a question and then ask them to answer your question at their leisure.

The majority of people here are well educated and kind with a genuine desire to help. You need only ask a well worded, nonjudgemental question to find this to be true.

Ask away.

Edit: Who is in the forum is directly related to the time of day. You soon learn who is on, and when.

Yes, there are some goofy folks chiming in here, but there are some really knowledgable and helpful folk here, too. Like me, for one. Feel free to ask me anything, okay?

I am a Christian, but the truth is, you will find more juvinile attention grabbers, smart alecs and trouble makers than Christians on here. They do it to rile us up, and if we lose our temper, which I try not, that gives them fuel for their fire. They are all in for a rude awakening someday. Count on it.

try to answer seriously any question which deserves and desires a serious answer. however, I will confess there are times I " lighten
up " as my lady calls it in order to get some humor. She said that I was taking myself to serious and to have a little humor at times. therefore serious questions equal serious answers and humorous questions equal humorous answers.
