Buying a car, driving high miles with a 6 cylinder, what type/brand, best bang for dollar?

If yo ualready know you're going for high miles, than consider a 4 cylinder. If you want more power, than get a turbo. You need to consider the COST of driving if you're a person who must drive ALL THE TIME. I think the VW line of 1.8 liter turbo 4 cylinders are bullet proof - but that's just my experience.

Hondas are well known for ultra high mileage too.

Honda..the acorrd v6 hybird. well worth the money

toyota's are amazing....as long as you take care of them, they will last forever........
