What in the name of Christ are these people thinking!? Are there other Churches out there that share their views?
Here is their homepage... I really hope that whoever looks at this is sickened by it! For those of you who don't know of these people, they are the one's who travel around the country to protest at the funerals of military personel.

They showed up at a funeral home in London, Ky last week to protest. I'm really supprised that they got out alive!!
Can someone send them a copy of the movie about Jim Jones and Jonestown... If we are lucky, they will follow his idea.

Here's what I'd like to know:
Where are all the Christians when these people come to town? Who's funding them? They can't do all that traveling for free. Where was all the disgust when Phelps was protesting gay peoples or AIDS victims funerals?
I think the silence from other Christians is deafening. The anti-gay agenda is the same espoused by most Churches. The message is basically the same though more crude. Focus on the Family, Americas for Truth, Campaign for Working Families have such harmless sounding names, but they have the same anti-gay/anti-gay agenda as WBC. The language may be less crude but they are the same.
Why aren't more people sickened by those groups too?
****You'll note the above good Christian answer speaks volumes about Christianity.
*****I live in Kentucky. Its one of the most homophobic states I have ever lived in. Everytime he shows up here he's openly welcomed.

Ah, someone found Westboro Baptist Church. Yes, they really do that sort of stuff. They are led by Fred Phelps, a bigoted man full of hatred and anger. It's disgusting.
When I think of them, I always get the mental image of this guy breaking up their protest with a flamethrower.

These are definitely the poorest examples of human beings that I have ever seen. I would love to go there and speak to these people. Probably useless, I know, but someone has to try.

Believe it or not, these people are actually good Christians -- they follow word-for-word the teachings of the Bible. That is, the parts of the Bible that they happen to agree with.
In other words, they're just like all other Christians, only a little more brazen and noisy.

I am appalled by their behavior. It is sad that they protest military funerals and those are the very people that are dying defending the freedoms these horses behinds are exercising.

The worst part is these sick pigs make their children hold signs reading things like: Thank God For 9/11 & God Hates Fags. They're brainwashing their kids.
