Are all lab puppies born black and then change? I have a chocolate lab and the father was a blond lab but all the puppies are black. Does anyone know?

Noooooooooooo, you have a litter of black puppy's
It is very common that when breeding a chocolate to a yellow that the litter will be all black (about 50% of the time)
All this means is that your chocolate is not yellow factored, and the yellow you used is not chocolate factored.

There are nine possable genetic color combinations (without getting into the almost never happen combinations)
five of them will always be black
three of them will always be yellow
two of them will always be chocolate

Lab puppies are born the color they will be. If you have black puppies, but a chocolate dam and a yellow sire, then that just means that in the lineage somewhere there were black labs either as grandparents, great-grandparents, etc. If you want a certain color of lab puppies, the only way to be sure you get the color you want is to check your dogs lineage and only breed yellow to yellow, chocolate to chocolate, or black to black. If you interbreed colors, it is unlikely what color you will get.

No, they are the color they are born. You should do some research on color genetics in dogs. If you are going to be breeding, you need to have an intimate understanding of the gentics of labs.

Your dogs are likely genetically EEbb and eeBB according to this site. Read it and it will make sense.

Like humans puppies get their coat color from genes, in this case the predominant gene is the dark one, maybe some become lighter (brownish) with the past of time

no, they're not all born black. it depends on genetics, and the color they're born with is the color they'll stay. dog coat genetics is especially complicated (way more complicated than human genetics for skin color or eye color). but dog coats don't change after they're born (with the exception of dalmatians, who develop their spots after birth i believe).
