- A Skeptic doubts and is critical of all accepted doctrines and creeds.
Atheists and Agnostics have two different points of view when it comes to a deity, you’ll also notice the word denies in the definition…

and look, Spot'sFox is a perfect example...
I find it laughable since I have never sent an email to a thesis about their beliefs vs. my knowledge. But I average about 5 a week from christians who insist that I am stupid and I am destined for hell if I don't accept jesus as my "personal lord and savior"
If I may be so bold, I say poppycock to that...

Earl D, the reason Heretic and Heathen were not included is that they are not synonyms for atheist:
A Heretic is someone who does not conform to an established attitude, doctrine, or principle, usually within the same faith (i.e. Marcionites, Ebionites, and Gnostics are considered heretical by the current church orthodoxy)
A Heathen is an unconverted individual of a people that do not acknowledge the God of the Bible; a person who is neither a Jew, Christian, nor Muslim; pagan. It refers to someone who never had a monotheistic or pagan religion. It does not mean the same thing as atheism.
By you twisting the definition into "To be a true atheist you must be the center of the universe and everything revolves around you”, you helped to prove the point of my question.
I am an atheist but the world goes on without me, I am no greater or worse than any other human on this lil' rock we call home.

You know it is funny I constantly get people who refuse to believe I am an atheist. It is like I posted on you're awesome blog (everyone should check it out) that people want to see atheists as horrible, horrible people that they can hate. I am not saying that they still don't hate me because they do,it's just that Christian men seem to hate me a little less...

So then an Atheist can have a spiritual or religous belief, so long as no diety is involved.
But this also applies to anything that looks like a diety, such as Charles Darwin. Citing Darwin as an absolute is essentially the same as citing JEsus or God or Allah.
You're essentially surrendering your will and belief system to someone superior to you.
Darwin says it, therefore it must be true because I'm a stupid fool and can't make up my own mind so I let Darwin make it up for me!
How come you left out Heretic and Heathen?
Sure atheists exist, but, as it is with Christians and Islmaics, we can't see you for the forest.
You see, there are just to many trees out there citing Darwin, Einstein, Plato, Hoyle, Hawkings, Huxley and other quasi-dieties they worship.
So long as they hold an organized belief system with people above them on the totem pole, we think that's what A-Theism is all about!
To be a true atheist you must be the center of the universe and everything revolves around you, for that is self evident and no one holds a higher rank than you in the universe for we are all equal.
Is that a fair appraisal?
There are no "Gods"
No one is greater than you.
Not a man
Not a space daddy
Of course you also realize Christians know the same thing from their God and books. Their God tell them that each of them can do the same things as God or Jesus. Everyone is equal. It's simply your own narrow view of the world that holds you back from walking on water. The only fundamental differen is man is finite, God isn't. That is self evident. In 6,000 years of religious history God still exists, even though none of the men who documented that history still do.

Atheists & agnostics do not believe in a Supreme Being.
Agnostics are atheists who invented a weasel word to avoid using the more correct term atheist.
Agnostic literally means ignorant and most agnostics seem to fit that definition, but it has nothing to do with their lack of belief in a Supreme Being.

"One who persecutes Religious people"
