Not really. i had mine hoiked out in january. besides the discomfort of every girls favourite the speculum all you get is a slight dull pain, like period pain, for a moment and you can get a little spotting afterwards.

The worst part is always the indignity if you ask me!

No! I had a coil a few years ago and had to have it removed. I found having it put in more uncomfortable

No,its definately more painful having it inserted than having it removed which was only a bit uncomfortable in my experiance.

If you're still worried then take a couple of paracetamol an hour or so before

Its definately worse having one put in than having it taken out. When mine was removed it hurt momentarily (it was a very sharp sudden pain). It made my eyes water a bit but the pain subsided within a minute or so. I then had a bit of spotting for a couple of days.

Depends on your personal pain perception. Removal is FAR less uncomfortable than insertion so if you didn't find it too bad being put in, chances are it it will be a doddle having it removed

well i dont want to hard on you but my sis had a bad tme with hers the nurse could not get it out and they had to take my sis to surgery

she was in over nite and was fine she has had a fab baby girl and she was not put off that much because she had another one put in

not as painful as having it put in .remember though the second its removed you have no contraception.

No mine actually came out when i was on a heavy period ... i didnt even know until i became pregnant !! Oops
