Reggae lover is incorrect. The Presbyterian Church does baptize. Baptisms and Christenings are the same thing. Their beliefs are the same as any other Christian church. They are not owned by the elders. Some use the KJV of the Bible, others do not. They are a fairly traditional, mainline church. They believe in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That Jesus is the Son of God and He died for our Sins. That He will come again. The Session or Board of Elders works together with the Pastor to run the church. The Elders are elected by the members of the congregation. The Deacons are also elected by the congregation. Both Elders and Deacons participate in the service in different ways.
