My 11-month-old Min Pin, Maggie, has a bare spot under her neck. It doesn't cause her pain, so I wanted to know, is this common in Min Pins?

i have min pins also, with their extremely short hair, it doesn't take much to rub off the hair (a collar or scratching) mine has 2 bare spots the size of nickels on their backs from the awful fleas we've had this summer (they have Frontline on them too)

My first thought is that it's from the collar. Take it off for a few days and see if the spot gets any better.

Patches of missing hair can be the cause of many things, rubbing collor, allergies, stress and many other health problems. My suggestion would be that if it continues, visit your vet.

If she has a collar on, it can rub and take away her neck hair.
