Since INS no longer exists, you need to contact the closest U.S.
Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) office immediately. You should be able to find it in the blue pages of the phone book or you can go to www.uscis.gov for more information.

Here is some more info straight from the web site:

"How Do I Apply to Replace My Certificate?

Form N-565 is used to apply for a replacement certificate of citizenship or naturalization. It is filed in person or by mail with the local USCIS office having jurisdiction over your place of residence (Except if you live in Maryland; file with the Vermont Service Center) (see MAP). It must be filed with appropriate identification to establish your identity and the filing fee. Current photographs meeting USCIS photo specifications must also be submitted. (See instructions on the form.)"

I would also suggest you go get a passport as soon as you get a new certificate. A passport also works as proof of citizenship and very soon you will need a passport any time you travel outside the U.S.

Here is a website that answers your question:

It takes about a year to get the replacement naturalization certificate. If you need a U.S. passport while waiting for your certificate, here is a website that describe the process.

That's what they all say. If your parents were illegal and you think you are a citizen because you fell out of your illegal mother and landed on American soil your crazy. Save up a couple thousand and ask around, there many Mexicans out there that can get you you're legalization papers. Just don't let me catch you.

Did you really have one to start with? Or are you just trying to find a way to get one while not being noticed and see if there is a chance you can get legal without getting caught?
