I had the same problem with my '95 LHS and it would either have a hard time shifting or wouldn't shift into the next gear. First check and see if you have transmission fluid. Secondly, look where you park your car and see if there are any spots where the front of the car would be. If so, you could be leaking tranny fluid and need to have it checked out asap. In any case, take it to a mechanic and have 'em look at it, and tell 'em exactly what's wrong, that will give 'em a better idea of what to look for to fix the problem.

Your computer might be shot. Theres a computer that runs the shifting of automatic transmissons in all newer cars. If its not shifting out of first, or shifting very hard and late its most likely that.

Its about a 200 dollar fix.

If the tranny is shot you're looking at a couple thousand to replace it. Your car is new enough, and if the miles are low enough its probably in your best interest to replace and not rebuild.

Take it in and have them run a diagnostic on the computer.

could desire to heat it up: That factors to fluid dynamics. could desire to be an inner leak yet FIRST: Did you utilize the marvelous fluid? i know in later form Honda's there is an extremely particular fluid and others won't artwork nicely, their friction traits are no longer nicely matched. MY stoop: in case you had no longer been changing fluid on a time-honored foundation then the unique fluid finally lost that's hydraulic and friction homes which brought about the no shift situation. My wager is once you probably did replace fluid you used the incorrect specification fluid. If the fluid replace into no longer Honda spec. a low priced next step is to become attentive to and purchase the marvelous fluid Honda specs.on your 1991 Accord and drain as numerous the previous fluid out & fill up. power somewhat to pass fluid. enable each and every thing cool. replace back with new.
