Flies have a very short life so their only interests are sex and eating. They can't afford to stop for sleeping if they are going to make their contribution to the next generation of flies.

The common housefly never sleeps as such but it's metabolism slows when cold which is a version of slepp -ish !!!!

they probs don't get much sleep as they only live for about 2-3 days, sometimes only 1 if they have been squashed!

Yes, they sleep. But only in winter, when it's cold. They are like bears-they hibernate.......
