Boil some water and add 1 teaspoon of salt to 4 cups of water. Let it cool down then dip a washcloth in it. Make sure it's warm but not hot. Now wipe the eye gently several times with a moist almost dripping cloth. This will help clean it and reduce some swelling or pain. Are you sure he didn't get bitten by something? If this is the case he'll need some Benadryl (generic would be just fine) The dose would depend on his weight. Keep him inside and quiet until you can have him looked at tomorrow. Hope this turns out well for both of you.

How did you diagnose tumor as opposed to something else, like injury?
In any event, your cat will survive until tomorrow. You might want to try to wash the eye with dilute hydrogen peroxide solution, and keep him comfortable. Keep the eye area open to air, and maybe cut some excess fur away around the eye. Careful, try just using an electric sideburn trimmer.

Depending on what is going on with the eye he might lose it. Only a vet can determine that and I am very relieved to know he will be seen tomorrow.
I would not attempt to treat the eye with anything nor give the cat benadryl. He will be fine until tomorrow and the vet will prescribe what he deems necessary.

DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN HIS EYE!!!! OMG especially hydrogen peroxide. It might not be a tumor. It cna be a form of herpes (dont worry you cant get it) i know a cat like this. They just need to be on antibiotics. Take hime to the vet first thing in the morning.

Are you cetain it is a tumor? He may merely have an injury that needs addressing. No way to tell without pictures, but I am glad you are taking him to the vet tomorrow. Pity you cannot take him somewhere else sooner.
