Beside a nice Earl Grey, can anyone recommend a nice tea for an afternoon of nibbling biscuits and reading?

O.K. well let me ruin, according to my Irish friends, an afternoon cup of tea.
Serve Earl Grey iced, and or a nice Green Tea, iced.

Hot tea for breakfast, and iced all the rest of the day.
We go through about a gallon each day, last drink out of the pitcher has to make the next batch.

I can't get enthused about Earl Grey (either the tea or the PM). For nibbling with a biscuit try something like gen-mai-cha.

For high tea, something authoritative like imperial gunpowder or (believe it or nor) billy tea from Australia.

Oh, I just discovered a gogi berry pomegranate green tea made by Celestial Seasonings and it is fantastic! It has caffeine, though, so it's not good to drink it too late in the afternoon.

My favorite store, though, is Teavana (www.teavana.com). They have a great selection.

I'm going to go brew some tea now.

Lipton's Green Label, if you like the flavour of true Darjeeling tea.

I recommend a jasmine tea, lightly steeped, with a scone and strawberry jam. (But be sparing with the jam as too much sweetness overrides the flavour of the tea!)

Kick off your shoes and enjoy!
