Buy your kittens lots of toys and different types. Buy her a cardboard platform scratching post. Cats seem to really prefer that type for some reason. You can play w/the kitten w/toys but never allow her to get attention from you if she scratches or bites your hand. She must learn that this is not okay. Kittens are like toddlers and must be allowed to use their energy in a manner that is safe, while having restrictions on their behaviors that are damaging to people in particular. She will quickly learn not to play w/your hands if you do not give her attention or pet her if she attempts to do that..just walk away. if she wants to play , play w/her w/kitten toys. They have lots of energy but I promise when she is older, by the time she is a year old, she will not be so out of control. It is a stage that will pass, but there will always be times when your cat will want to play. Make sure you get her spayed by six months or you will have her going into heat and they are extremely loud and vocal about it..and she will not stop until she is spayed.

Itchy ears would also be from ear mites. they are very worry-loose and contagious to different cats. you would no longer see the mites devoid of an otoscope yet you would even see some black debris that feels like espresso grounds. it might probable be sensible to have the vet have a glance contained in the ear canals and probable take care of them. Ear mites are very itchy and treating would make each man or woman significantly better mushy. As for the hand-pouncing, attempt some thing diverse-- "no longer some thing". at the same time as the kitten tries pouncing on your hand and biting, do no longer flow or make a valid. The hand is now "useless" and not in any respect any exciting. useless "prey" would not flow or make a noise. So only bypass nonetheless and do not say some thing. Then together with your different hand, toss a toy to distract her interest far flung from you so that you will get your hand again and walk away. quickly she will be able to get the theory that the tremendous petting "dies" once she bites or scratches.

Sounds like your kitten needs more play time with you. Try giving her a good 30 minutes of play time with something she can really swat at and try one of those cardboard scrathers with cat nip in it. My training words, when I trained three sets of kittens were "NO CLAW", I would pick them up and push out the claw and firmly say NO CLAW everytime one of them clawed or bit me. It takes a few days but they really understand the no claw rule, but you have to do everytime they claw. Give her more one on one play time with you that might just solve the biting leg thing. Cats have a way of telling you they're not getting what they need and it sounds like she need more attention from you, but remember to stop the play if she claws or bites you when playing. And when the kitten plays the right way be sure to let her know she's a good kitten. Good luck

She is just a baby and practising her hunting tecniques. It is normal for a kitten to do this and she will do it for a while until she matures. You can get a spray bottle and spray her with a bit of water when she does something wrong. Some people train cats this way.

Maybe you should get her checked out at the Vet's; she should not be scratching, biting and jumping; One thing about cats, though, is you have to establish who the "Alpha" cat is, meaning YOU! I would start holding her close to your heart, talk gently to her and relax with her; if she tries to extract herself, still hold her gently, maybe hold close with 1 hand and pet her or play with her paws; try meowing at her...Just start calling her and training her to do things; I have several cats and they all come when they're called, will stop scratching when I say "stop", will sit next to me while I eat and not bother me until I'm done and them give them treats; Cats are very smart (more so then some dogs) and will try to dominate if you let them! Good Luck!

the kitten wants to play w/ you, which is cute, but you have to teach him/her to play nice
the spray bottle works, also when she bites her toys and not your legs or is playing nice praise her or sometimes give her a treat (dont give her a treat all the time though, you'll get a very fat cat)

Your cat sounds the same as mine. My cat bites and scratches and likes water and she jumps on my shoulders. I heard shaking a can with coins in it is good cuz they dont like the loud noise.

First declaw your kittens claws(you can also laser them off. It won't hurt as much as pulling them out.).
Now train your kitten not to bite anymore. That should work. I would do this if I were you.

Buy a scratching post. When we had our first kitten, he did it all the time but stopped after we got him one of those tall posts from a pet store.
