It's individual, but a bare, rock-bottom minimum for adults is six hours. Better to get a real minimum of seven hours or more. Again, some people require more, but not less than six hours. Most Americans are sleep-deprived to one degree or another. Scientists used to say that you can't catch up by sleeping in, but now they're saying that you can.
Be aware that there is a condition called Circadian Rhythm Sleep Disorder, Shift-Work Type: Insomnia during the major sleep period or excessive sleepiness during the major awake period associated with night shift work, or frequently changing shift work.
I encourage you to research the issue of sleep and do your best to work out a way of getting your proper rest. If you are unable to do so, you may need to find another job in order to be truly healthy and contented with your life which, after all, is why you work.

I think repeatedly changing shifts are bad, ther is no real solution for it, u cant have a routine like this cant u take one particular type of shift in one go then the other and then the next? Good and refreshing sleep will be possible only then

I don't know what doctors Hawkins is talking about, but this one says less than eight. Preferably 5 to 6 hours.
