baked beans are very cheap and full of protein
most other beans and lentils are too
peanuts, like most nuts and seeds are full of it too
you need to eat a balanced diet though, this does not need to include meat

The shakes are really the best way. You will get use to the taste. I get the cheap stuff from walmart, its the best bang for you buck by far.

with soybean u can make tofu, fermented soybean cake.. cheap and high in protein. btw, FISHES are also high in protein..

the cheapest way would be to go out to your yard, or garden and start eating bugs.. heres a couple of links to let you know what has the most protien, and is the tastiest..
