and you went out and had a couple of drinks while "he" stayed home to "doctor" this cold. The next morning he woke up worse while you woke up feeling fine, do you think the alcohol made the cold go away?

Probably not. It's just that you are a woman and therefore every little sniffle doesn't render you bed ridden like it does most men.

Make sure there is nothing at home that is making you sick... your house or apartment..... Does it have mold or did someone live there before that left drugs behind... This has happened to people so many times.. I would say carbon monoxide but its not winter yet... Clean your house and use germ killers and get rid of whatever is making you guys sick... This is always possiblity.. Perhaps the alchol played a role to kill the germ, who knows. But you can't use alcohol everyday... So do the other. Start now

Are you sure he really "doctored" his cold? There are many things that make a cold worse, like eating fatty fried food, milk, sugary food, all these create mucus, that makes a sick person sicker.
