I am about to finish my resume for a bookkeeping or secreterial position. I have only worked for one employer.

Do i have to include a contact name & number or not??

Not on the resume. If they call you in for an interview, you would provide it then.

Your resume should not include that information, but if asked and you don't want to provide on an application, they would wonder why, and probably not consider you for the position.

you can choose to include the name of your references on your resume, but most people just put at the end of it "References available upon request"

No. You will put that on your application. Your resume should outline your experiences, responsibilities and accomplishments. The "nitty gritty" is for applications.
