Do you think that if GOD wanted to he could make the sky yellow as opposed to blue? Do you think he could make an animal speak English? Do you think he has the ability to anything or does God have restrictions as all things.

Well He will turn the sun black and the moon red so obviously He can make the sky yellow. The Lord opened the mouth of Balaam's donkey to speak in his tongue so He could just as easily make an animal speak English.

With God all things are possible.

During the dark ages and Renaissance God was limited to what was logically possible. It seems that modern Christians ins have adopted a Taoist idea that god's power is unlimited, but unlike Taoists they think that God exists in reality.

The nice thing about the old Christan beliefs is that you don't get bizarre oxymoron's like, Could Jesus microwave a burrito so hot that he himself could not eat it? If he does then he can't eat something, which would mean he can not have unlimited power, but if he can't make the burrito that hot he cant do something else, which would mean he can not have unlimited power. But if he is limited to what is logically possible then there is no problem, since the question is logically impossible.

Well, he has proved singularly unable to stop things like the Tsunami, Earthquakes, Genocide...
He also isn't very bright. He created the world and people, then instantly regretted it and had to kill everyone except a drunken sycophant and his family.
Even then, he wasn't able to forgive his creation for the fact that the first two listened to a talking snake and ate some fruit, until his son had taken on human form and suffered a horrific death by torture.
He thinks that bats are birds, that insects have four legs, that the value of Pi is 3, that the earth is flat and the sun goes around it.

He is so pathetic in fact, that he is reduced to moving in mysterious ways.

How powerful is God?

Well, this god knew of you and your choices billions of years before you were even born. This God knew all that you were going to do in your short life which is why he eventually sent you to hell for all of your choices once you were done living your life. My thought on that is if he knows what you are capable of already, and he knows you will fail at trying to follow him why did he create you in the first place? Go figure.

And yes if God wanted the sky a silly color as yellow he could find a way to do it. You have to understand that when God creates something he also creates rules for that something that even he has to follow.

If god is so powerful, along with his son, why aren't they here now - in a living form, as, with their power, you would have thought they could have sorted out their own immortality.

Until either of them knock on my front door, carrying my milk bottles, I won't believe in either.

And - after sitting through loads of catholic masses as a boy - god has pretty much failed all throughout history to stop the atrrocities of this world - so much for his greatness and power uh?

(Painting farts green is a good way of summing this up!)

Absolutely, He can do whatever He pleases. The sky could very well turn yellow. And in the Old Testament, he even made Balaam's donkey speak! I think that's pretty cool.

well a god could be "all" powerful and still fail at times. for instance, yes he could make the sky yellow, but only 50% of the time he tries to do so.

Man name the sky blue (if you recall, probably not because you didn't read the Bible, God let Adam name all the animals). How do you know it ISN'T really yellow! How do you know Tastey Wheat actually takes like Tastey Wheat! Red pill or blue pill?

And my cat and I communicacted quite well. He never had any problem telling me it was time to eat and what flavor to give him.

And if I should his name he came running.

Can God really be all powerful if God cannot remove itself from existence? For this would mean that there is one thing that God cannot do, and therefore God is not ALL powerful. Just pretty powerful.
