When some people turn 21 they seem to think that getitng drunk is what they are suppose to do as a right of passage. I regretted getting drunk on my 21st bithday because then I couldn't rememer it. Try to talk your friend into doing something else, something that will be more memorable. Plan something that does not include going to a bar. Have a special picnic. Go somewhere you've never been. Take your friend to an AAA meeting before her birhtday. I'm not down on drinking but getting drunk and passing out is dangerous. Be creative!
good luck

Give her 3 shots of the worst thing you can think of as soon as you start drinking. She'll puke quickly, be capable of remembering everything, and never want to do it ever again. Passing out isn't the best goal to have when drinking, so making her puke will make her think again about wanting to drink massive amounts of alcohol.

My favorites to make people puke:
Liquid Cocaine (Jaeger, Rumplemintz, Goldschlagger), Prairie Fire (Tequila, Tabasco), and Cement Mixer (Baileys, Lime Juice; served in separate glasses, hold each in one side of the mouth and shake head to mix them; the Baileys will curdle when they mix)

Passing out is your body's way of telling you you've had too much, and it shuts you down to prevent further intoxication.
Remind her, "Intoxication" contains the warning "tox" meaning that you are becoming toxic. We don't drink toxic waste, so we should not allow ourselves to become Toxic just for the fun of it.
Passing out can be very dangerous. Many people have choked to death while passed out as the body attempts to regurgitate the alcohol through vomiting.
Please please talk her into something fun but healthy!

Stay sober, try to get her to drink water while she's consuming copious amounts of alcohol. It'll help with the hangover. Just make sure she doesn't get hurt. Oh and don't forget the camera, for when she falls off the toliet with her pants at her ankles and you have to help her up.

Make sure she is safe and you have a celll with you in case you need emergency help and also that she appreciates a friend that would take care of her! She will probably only want to do it once.

Tell her that she may not wake up again if she does that. I have nothing against people getting drunk on a special day, but she doesn't really want to spoil her day or put her health at risk, does she?

Sounds like she has already killed some brain cells. Try and talk some sense into her!

Have a heart-to-heart chat with her and let her know that this kind of activity is dangerous.
