I have a lab puppie and he is about 5 in a half months old, he is big; but I am hoping he gets much bigger than this. So how old are labs when they reach their full growth?

I have two labs. A male that is 6 and a female that is almost 2. Alot of the size depends on the genes passed down. Do you know if your lab's parents were big? My female is alot smaller than my male. She has English in her blood. As a rule British are smaller. They make better dogs for hunters who hunt out of boats. To answer your question, they will continue to grow through thier first year. Usually reaching full size by thier 2nd year.

They do most of their growing up to the age of about 15 months, during that time they increase their birth weight by about 70 times. Until about the age of two they will do some growing but more or less they fill out. My Lab is 18 months and right now he just filling out. Around a year he hit a growth spurt and put height on.

We have an American chocolate lab. Today he is five years old and a real good buddy dog. We love him. The answer to your question is approximately twelve months before he gets to be full grown physically and up to three years mentally.
