Based on the economy of the four states in question versus the economy of Mexico; Mexico could not afford to buy back the land they sold, even if we gave them a discount.
Personally, I can't understand why they would want the land back. History has shown that they have no idea what to do with the land and country that they have. Why in the world would they want more of it? Do they simply want to expand on their welfare state?

If I remember my Texas history right Mexico didn't sell Texas to us, we took it. We got into a war and won it. They might have put money down on it to make it look like we bought it but there was a big *** fight for it (REMEMBER THE ALAMO?).
No Mexico wouldn't have the money to buy Texas back, not with what Texas is worth today. Mexico couldn't afford to buy anything back right now.
And if the bleeding hearts want to get technical, this great nation known as the USA originally belonged to the Native Americans so, get over it, get the illegals out and let us go on with our lives. I'm tired of having to listen to Spanish in the stores when I go in to buy anything.

everyday republican reaction, if individuals did not hire unlawful immigrants they'd not come around the border in such extensive numbers. What approximately putting countless the blame on people who knowingly supply those unlawful immigrants jobs. those great numbers of U.S. employers, inclusive of private families, who hire great numbers of unlawful immigrants as cleaners, gardeners, nannies, housekeepers and caregivers If, whilst the North American unfastened commerce contract became into signed in 1994, "america had approached Mexico and its integration into the North American economic gadget interior an identical way that the ecu Union approached Spain and Portugal in 1986, they'd not have an immigration difficulty now. As for the unfold of swine flu as there are little question dozens of flights between mexico and the united states of a weekly. Tens of 1000's of usa electorate make the quick holiday around the Rio Grande on a daily basis to Mexican border cities. enterprise executives holiday to paintings at 1000's of U.S.-owned production vegetation. youngsters come to party because of the fact the criminal eating age, 18, is particularly enforced. The virus is in simple terms as probable to be offered in by potential of American travelers returning or those Mexicans who're legally resident interior the U. S.. the undeniable fact that there have been circumstances shown as some distance afield as Canada, Spain and Scotland teach how riduculous it rather is to attempt and blame unlawful immigrants for the unfold. Your question is in simple terms yet another occasion of how the superb wing republicans overlook approximately and deform the data as a fashion to do slightly liberal, immigrant, gay and so on. bashing.

These states
have infrastructure created by Americans. It's not the dirt they want, it's the commerce that we created. If a Mexican sold me an old Impala for 500 bucks and I spent 5,000 "to trick it out", Should I give him back the car because he was nice enough to sell it to me? Should I sell it to him for 5500 because that's my investment? Or should I sell it to my cousin for 10500 he offered? If that Mexican tries to steal that car saying he had it first, what ever force is necessary should be applied to prevent the theft of my property and investment. It would be typical for such a Mexican to claim I stole the car in the first place but he made the deal. I would not sell the original owner the car since he has a reputation for crashing his past cars with disregard for necessary maintenance.

So what does it have to do with Illegal Immigration? If anything, I don't think they'd buy it back, both countries need each other, otherwise the US would've really made borders a reality instead of the joke they're right now.

the reason Mexico sold the southwest to the U.S. so cheap was because they had to!!!!!!!
if you remember the war!!!!! the united states had just beaten Mexico...... Mexico was in no position to negotiate!!!!
it was kinda like the godfather saying "i will give you an offer you can't refuse"
your point is futile!!!!!!
