I've tried the sunsilk range for frizzy hair but it doesn't help, my hair's not straight or curley it seems to be in between. It used to be naturally straight then it turned curley, but know it's just frizz. I've heard that iron plated hair straighteners help does anyone know of any good cheap ones?

You seem to have the same hair type as me. I used to have straight hair and then it started to get frizzy/wavy (borderline curly). For straighteners... nothing cheap worked for me. You have to spend at leas $50 to get a good ceramic one... and those are the ones that are both healthy for your hair (I've never had a problem with split ends) and work the best. If you want to leave your hair down and wavy make sure you condition really well. Use leave in conditioner after you get out of the shower and then mousse it up really well with curl defining mousse. As for straightening.... don't blow dry it. let it air dry in a ponytail and then straighten it.

the trith is, if you have naturally frizzy hair, there's nothing you can really do about it, ie, it will always go back to being frizzy.
sunsilk is really crap, invest in a proper salon product, eg, something from schwarzkopf, tigi, l'oreal professional range, phyto etc, which you don't need to use a lot of because they work much better than the cheap stuff.
otherwise you can straighten it with iron (ceramic are the best) or permanently relax it (which is expensive but really worth it) and always smooth over a few drops of serum after you've straightened your hair and keep out of the rain and humidity!!!

I had the same problem - I would love to go into boots and buy cheap straighteners and products for my hair but have found that only expensive ones work for me. The best thing that ever happened to me was Ghds. Not the normal ones but the wider ones with bigger plates. (I think they are meant for afro hair). The normal ones did make my hair really straight but throughout the day it started to frizz. With the wider one it doesn't. The best products I can can recommend for this hair type is redken.

Ceramic plates are actually better...there is less chance of burning your hair with them.

My youngest daughter, who has basically straight hair, but what she calls a rat's nest problem with the hair at the back of her head, uses this appliance to straighten it out. She especially likes the fact that the appliance leaves her hair shiny, as well as straight.

The one my daughter has is not much bigger than a curling iron (being about 1 inch across) and is easy to use because it's not heavy.

You can now get a straightening kit from Boots that claims to straighten hair permanently without the use of straighteners. It looks brilliant and is only £15. I would try it myself (I also suffer from frizz) but I have highlights and it is not for use on highlighted hair. You should try it.

Since your hair has changed straight ,curly, frizzy, naturally you can probably get it cut very short and it will change the texture that happens with a lot of people

Ceramic staighners are best. I use Trvor Sorbie Straightening Addict, it's fab and not expensive. I have hair just as you have described.

ionics and ceramic straighteners are best and you can get them at around £25. but remeber to use heat protection spray first or the damage it cuases could make your hair worse
