1. Try to go where they only speak that language, so you will be forced to learn it.

2. try to study it as much as you can, and SPEAK it. Make as many mistakes as you can, so people can correct you. If people laugh, it is because it is funny to hear other people's crazy grammar...laugh along with them, and don't let that keep you from speaking the language.

3. If you can't hang out with people who only speak that language, label everything in your house. Put tiny signs on everything from the fridge to the shower curtain rod with the translation of each item into that language. Every time you see it, you will be forced to remember what each word means in the other language.

I took 10 years of Spanish in high school and college, and learned more in 2 years of speaking to hispanics in my community, and watching spanish tv shows. Don't be embarrassed or afraid to try to speak the language...you have to really make it a point to try try try.

I notice you said the easiest way... well... if money and time are no object go to that county and visit with speakes of that language
but there's an easy way to if you can't go to that country. that is Look up lyrics to songs in that language and buy a dictionary and trancelate that song... thats a good start. now try that with another song... you got the hang of it.... another!... another!... you can even buy songs in that language and listen to the pronounciations..... now try trancelating a song without a dictionary.... And thats the way I do it..... EASY!
