I buy Starbucks coffee beans and make my own espresso at home. I have a Delonghi espresso machine. I amke my own Vanilla syrup and froth my own cream.
I use full cream milk to have the best milk texture.
Starbucks coffee uses arabica beans. Arabica beans are best used for espresso machines. I buy Starbucks beans because they've packed it according to taste categories as well as according to geography like African coffes are in the bold category etc etc.
You can also buy non branded regional coffee beans but then they're are just as expensive as Starbucks coffee.
Starbucks teaches thier customers about coffee for that extra touch of customer service. Seriously. Ask them about coffee and they'll teach you for free.

I like my coffee better at home. I get it sent to my house from a company called Caribou which probably has some of the best coffee you can buy. I make it with filtered water which adds to the taste. Plus being able to enjoy it in the comfort of your own home (as I am right now!) beats an over crowded place with limited seating. I'm a coffee connoisseur and find Starbucks isn't true to what coffee should be.
Starbucks is way over-priced and over-rated.
Sorry, Seattle. Starbucks will pass just the same way Grunge did.

Starbucks for me is a special treat. Since we've moved, it's no longer around the corner, it's 25 miles away. I love Starbucks, and the variety of flavors, and the other little goodies that are perfect with a cup of coffee. At home I usually have just two flavors. If I had the choice, I would have Starbucks everyday.

Most definately at home! I can have a second or third cup at MY leisure and at a much lower cost. I buy the flavored syrups (hazelnut, french vanilla, irish cream, chocolate) and use Folgers Breakfast Roast for a wonderful taste as good as or better than Starbucks. I do love Starbucks coffee mugs that you can purchase. I have not found a better mug (that opens and closes easily and as secure as theirs). I do not care for the lines they usually have (I want my coffee at the same time as other customers 7:30-9:00AM) and the noise level. I do not feel comfortable sitting there trying to enjoy my morning start with all the noise. I also find their coffee is too strong or speciality drinks too sweet for my taste.

I like the coffee I make at home better. I can mix and match my coffee beans, I ALWAYS use filtered water (and you won't believe what a difference this makes in the taste), and I can make it as strong as I want. Plus, it is a hell of a lot cheaper! I will admit, on my way to class if I am in a hurry, I will chug down a Starbucks Doubleshot in the can. Better than any energy drink! (And yummier, too)

I like the coffee that I make at home better than ANY coffee that I have found anywhere else!
I buy Folgers Classic Roast, and have figured out (by trial and error) just exactly how much coffee to add for how much water.
I then drink it black, or add Coffee Mate liquid creamer and sugar, for a treat. Heavenly!
I have found that Starbucks coffee is too strong for my taste.
Starbucks Frappuccino is HEAVEN ON EARTH, however! Get the bottled stuff, not the ones they make at the store! :-))

I prefer Starbucks, or Joe Muggs, or almost anyone else to making it at home, because "someone else makes it for me"!
Also, to buy all the things it takes to make the kind of coffee they serve, is cost-prohibitive for the occasional cup every few days. If it was a daily thing, then I think it would be worth it to have your own equipment and keep the other stuff necessary.

To go out with my friends, I like Starbucks better. However, in the morning, Folgers and Maxwell House fare better in a home coffeemaker because time is of the essence. When youve got the time(and the cash), Starbucks is worth the wait. I've found that their pumpkin Spice Latte is awesome.

I enjoy the variety of flavors you can get at such places like Starbucks or Caribou Coffee. I love the atmosphere of it as well. But to get up an extra 20 to 30 minutes early in the mornin to go get either of those is just not worth it to me. First thing in the mornin, I will stick with coffee at home.

Actually Starbucks House Blend is my favorite. I brew it at home. No way I'm paying two bucks at their store except in an emergency.
Folks, I'm supposed to say that I love a coffee organically grown in Sumatra with all the profits going to world peace.
Starbucks House rules!
