Id have to say LCD is better for the following reasons.
1) Every time you turn a plasma tv off and on, the picture quality degrades. Something you can never fix
2) Plasmas can catch a bad glare if near a window with sunlight.. the LCD should not.
3) LCD should last 50000 viewing hours. opposed to 20000 hours for Plasma
4)LCD are more energy efficient

I have a Samsung plasma and a Sony LCD

Plasma is better for fast shows like Hockey more colors mine has 569Billion. Brighter definition

LCD you will see a line around text boxes and sport players ect.

I have both and am not BIASED the Plasma is a better TV. Both where the same price about. This is the time to buy a TV due to the new models being released as we speak.

The LCD might last longer but the plasma is rated for 60K hours that is about 27 years at 6.50 Hours a day. By that time Holographic Displays will be perfected.
