Anyone know where I can find recent news on Linux?

Question

Can anyone tell me a good place to find recent news related to Linux? I am writing a paper for school on future predictions of Linux and about whether Linux will become a serious competitor to Windows in the future. I am having problems researching this though it seems most of the information I am finding is a couple of years old and the language is aimed at someone who already knows a lot about Linux. I would appreciate any help I can get on where to find more information.

that... is something you could never have from one website. You have to be aware of several news flying around. Like the statements from Microsoft representative that says Linux has been bothering them and being like a parasite to them (which means they felt threatened by Linux's existence). And predictions are rather subjective. You could even see in one website that they say Linux is going to rule the world in several years, while the next day you see that Linux wouldn't be able to do anything to replace Microsoft on a same website. But I actually recommend you to choose another subject though, since you seems to know too less on Linux initially to get a good prediction on the end. For writing any paper, you should know at least some basics about the subject you're gonna write BEFORE you start writing it. It'd be a fruitless attempt to write something you don't initially know (well, in case you're insisting to do it, I'd say the best website would be http://www.Google.com/ just query for for "Linux Microsoft" and you'll get a good start)
